Peter Janssen has been tuning our church's pianos for many years. We have numerous pianos throughout our church from small uprights to a 9 foot concert grand and Peter does a superb job on each. Janssen Piano Services has tuned my grand piano for approximately four years now. The service has always been excellent and Peter's concern for his customers goes above and beyond. In fact, after a couple of years of having a frustrating tuning problem with my new piano, I contacted Janssen Piano Services and not only did Peter discover the problem (a mechanical imperfection), he was instrumental, no pun intended, in convincing the manufacturer to completely replace my piano, 2 years after the warranty had expired! This combination plus his formal training as a piano technician, permits him to bring to his trade a multiplicity of talents and proficiencies. Mr. Janssen revived our church baby grand that we thought could not be restored. He took it completely apart and reworked it and it plays well now. Fortunately, it saved our church a lot of money to use on our building program. We are very glad that we did not get rid of this piano as a previous company suggested. Mr. Janssen is trustworthy, competent, and very considerate to our church. We are very pleased with his work.
Peter went “above and beyond” to assist us in settling a problem with our Yamaha C3 grand piano. He found a structural problem with the piano and contacted Yamaha US on our behalf and, even though the warranty had just expired, Yamaha replaced our piano with a brand new C3. Mr. Janssen has tuned our piano since we moved into our new home four years ago. He began our business relationship by being polite, professional and punctual. His first mission was to correct problems with our Steinway which occurred during a move. He tuned and did a pitch correction until our piano was perfectly balanced.
