Church Plans

When in Georgia, over 100 churches in Newnan, Peachtree City, Fayetteville, Carrollton and Douglasville have trusted Janssen Piano Services as their piano tuner and repair and maintenance technician.

The Janssen Piano Church Plan is a low cost asset management plan for churches which are committed to preserving their piano through regular tunings and maintenance.

Financial Features

  • Additional discounts for multiple pianos tunings on the same day.
  • Emergency services at reduced rates for established customers, important when a string breaks just before an important service.
  • A 10% discount on all repair services.
  • A 50% discount on appraisals.
  • A 20% discount on supplies, such as lamps, benches, covers, cleaning supplies, etc.
  • A 10% discount on humidity control systems.

No Cost Features

  • Evaluations of the piano’s condition at every tuning.
  • Special attention to safety features.
  • Consultations regarding piano moving and placement.
  • Assistance with the purchase, sale, or evaluation of a potentially donated piano.
  • A written agreement, if so desired,  of all the above features for continuity in piano tuning and maintenance.

Importance

The Janssen Piano Church Plan is important because churches have special needs related to piano tuning and piano repair:

  • Pianos used to accompany other instruments should be kept at the correct pitch or (in case of playing together with an organ, at the organ’s pitch which is usually somewhat higher.
  • Multiple persons may use the piano with no one person in charge of scheduling piano tunings or addressing maintenance issues, which unchecked can develop into costly repairs.
  • The piano may be moved to accommodate different venues, destabilizing the piano.
  • Safety issues are often overlooked. (We’ve found many loose hinges on the lid of a grand; or wobbly bench ready to collapse.)
  • Emergency services at reduced rates for established customers, important when a string breaks just before an important service.
  • Churches generally do not employ trained piano experts to assist in the piano purchases or sales, or the evaluation of a proposed donated piano.
  • Pianos are often subject to extreme temperature and humidity changes causing the need for more frequent piano tunings.
